CheapEC2.com (“we”, “us”) is an independent provider of managed AWS EC2 sub-account capacity under consolidated billing. We are not affiliated with Amazon Web Services, Inc. For any privacy question, email info@cheapec2.com.
2. Information we collect
Account and contact details. When you place an order we collect the contact information you provide (such as your email address and the regions/families you request).
Service data. To provision and operate your sub-account we handle information required for AWS billing under consolidated billing — this is limited to what is necessary to run your instances and meter usage.
Usage and analytics. Our website uses Google Analytics (Google’s Privacy Policy) to understand aggregate traffic. This may set cookies and collect anonymized data such as pages visited, device type and approximate location.
Live chat. Chat messages you send through our Chatwoot widget are stored to answer your questions and improve support.
3. How we use information
We use the information we collect to: provision and manage sub-accounts, apply quotas, meter usage, process prepaid funding and refunds, respond to support and sales requests, comply with legal obligations, and improve the website and service.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics (Measurement ID G-Q4DPSL72TH) to measure site performance. You can opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings. The live chat widget is provided by Chatwoot.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only: (a) with Amazon Web Services to the extent required to operate sub-accounts and consolidated billing; (b) with service providers (analytics, chat, payment processing) who are bound to protect it; (c) where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
6. Data retention
We keep account records while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet billing, tax and legal obligations. Usage and analytics data is retained in line with the relevant provider’s policies and our operational needs.
7. Security
Access to your sub-account console is protected by AWS IAM credentials that only you control. We use encryption in transit, restricted internal access and least-privilege principles for any account data we handle.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email info@cheapec2.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page and, where appropriate, by email.
